Both tracks above are really great--I've always been in love with Final Fantasy's solo records as well as his work with the Arcade Fire, and his signature looped strings resonate pretty well in this rather uncanny remix.

I had just recently caught on to Birdy Nam Nam, and when I listened to Manual For Successful Rioting I was immediately reminded of Tepr's Cote Quest, which is (in my opinion) a record everyone should own. Very few times can dance records have absolutely no filler--I think it's safe to say that BNN has broken the mold and produced one of the best efforts so far this year.

Based out of the United Kingdom, Cicada deliver a certain brand of heartthrob dance-pop that is heavy on kick drum, ensnared by repetition, and catchy to the supreme (reminds me of the 90s music they used to play at the local Skate Corral). Not only does it go well with roller blades and neon lights, but it is also an excellent choice for outdoor dance parties in the good old country barn. Don't mind the freezing weather.

Perfect for late-night car rides with friends who like to sing through their nose while drinking Big Gulps and realizing that it's 3:00 AM and that your parents wanted you home an hour ago but it doesn't matter because this song makes everything much much MUCH better. The Bo Flex remix is, besides the original, the best track, especially when you put on sunglasses and run in slow motion against the wind.

NIKE + ATRAK.

I haven't given A-Trak's Nike+: Original Run record any serious thought, but I've heard considerably good things. I remember catching him play in Chicago a few years back, right after he quit hiding behind Kanye's shadow. Nowadays, he has deals left and right, a talented girlfriend, and now this (which takes the cake): a Serato vinyl disk commemorated just in time for his Nike gig, thanks to the boys at Whitelabel.net. It's a work of art. And I'm buying one. But hold on--only 1,000 are being pressed. So get if I were you, I'd get one soon, too.
